Learn more about the region these award-winning wines came from
South Australia is one of Australia’s top wine regions and has developed a reputation as a wine capital of the world. Comprised of over 16 individual zones, the South Australian wine territory is vast and home to a wide range of vineyards and production styles.
The Adelaide Hills offers cool climatic conditions. The elevation of the region impacts wine production through temperature and rainfall. The area is famous for producing crisp chardonnays and pinot noir rivalling the best out of Burgundy France.
The Fleurieu Peninsula to the south is home to McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. The temperature is higher in this region so the red grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz flourish here.
